Homestead Youth Arts Center
Sow the seeds of empowerment today, to reap the legacy of excellence tomorrow.

Our Impact
The Homestead Youth Arts Center created four programs to help guide and mentor the students through their education. Each program is crafted to give the students a better understanding of what is needed to become an effective, productive artist within any community.
Programs
Leaders In Training
( LIT )
The Leaders In Training Program (LIT) is a mentorship program designed to help guide students interested in becoming dance educators.
With LIT, the students will help assist classes led by educators within their specific discipline, learn how to build a curriculum for the school year, and gain an understanding of dance pedagogy.
We believe it takes time and dedication to develop the right skills, the LIT program is open to any students from the age of 13 years old and older.
Performing Arts Company
Our Performing Arts Company (PAC) has two pathways with our competitive company and our performance company!
Both companies are audition based, where the students of each company are required to attend weekly dance classes and rehearsals to help prepare for any upcoming performance.
At the end of each year, students are granted an exit interview with the instructors to discuss the growth of the students, their goals for the following year, and how to facilitate success.
( PAC )
We Reach Outreach
Our “We Reach” program is an outreach program geared toward bridging the opportunity gaps within the community for dancers who are not affiliated with the HYAC but wish to experience the arts.

Utilizing the skills from the LIT and PAC programs, students will work along side educators to help plan and execute each event.
Graduate Program
The purpose of the program is to help guide high school seniors through the next step, graduation and their plans for the future.

Each student will be partnered with an advisor/mentor to attain a deeper understanding of what will be required in their respected fields of interest.
PDS Scholarships
Recipients of the PDS scholarship receive partial or full tuition for dance classes at Paramount Dance Studios year round. Scholarships given are based on level of talent and dedication with consideration of their financial eligibility.
Summer Scholarships
We believe education is not meant to be practiced only from August to June but year round. We developed the summer scholarship for students who were invited to study at an intensive over the summer break.
Community Enrichment Dance Program
Our project gives students the opportunity to participate in dance classes that encourage them to embrace their creativity and self-expression. Providing adolescents with the highest caliber of dance education and outreach programs to ensure individual growth and achievement.
